Maverick has been in our lives for three and a half years now, and this site is about the highs, the lows, and the many varied bits in between. You may learn something from it - you may already know the basics of Sibe ownership - or you could even have an established kennel (in which case, please be gentle with us!). Either way, we hope that you enjoy your visit and keep coming back to see how we are getting on - we're a work in progress... We may only have one Sibe, but that does not mean that we do not respect the breed for what it is - strong-willed, sometimes infuriating, yet ultimately highly rewarding. We know that they do not make "ideal" pets - but then in my humble opinion we do not live in an ideal world... Sibes can be highly destructive when bored, they are born escape artists and as such can easily jump a 6-foot fence, they can never be let off the lead in open areas (despite what others may tell you...) and they will hunt and kill anything small and furry or (in our case) small and feathered. If you are willing and able to make the necessary changes to your life that the responsibility of Husky-ownership entails, and are capable of providing the levels of exercise needed, then perhaps the Husky is for you. And perhaps now our families will realise why we've only been to see them twice in the last two years! News & Views Colitis sucks!!!
